Mango Takes Next Step After Successful Pilot Program to Connect Universities with International Students, and Pitch Competition

CLEVELAND, October 25, 2014 – Consult Mango, an international student recruitment agency, is designing a web platform to help prospective international students navigate the online complexities and language barriers that come with applying to universities in the United States. After concluding a three-month private pilot program with five local schools, Mango has begun signing commission based recruiting contracts, and expanded to tentative agreements with six more universities in the region.
Mango’s primary focus is to recruit students from Brazil and China. Mango is in the process of establishing a mutually beneficial partnership with Transcend Education, a rigorous student preparatory agency located in Shenzen Guangdong, a South East province of China. As Kevin Wang the Co-Founder of Mango explains “This is an exciting time for us as we are in the process of working with Transcend to place their first 20 students. These students will be attending our partner institutions for the upcoming Fall 2015 semester.”

Eric Vennaro, a programmer and 2nd Lieutenant in the United States Army National Guard, is the other Co-Founder of Consult Mango. Eric recently competed against 74 others businesses in the COSE Small Business Pitch Competition, which took place at Kalahari Resorts & Convention Center in Sandusky, Ohio. The competition took place on October 22nd with Eric exciting the judges to a third place finish and cash prize of $5,000. What impressed the judges most were Mango’s dedication, progress, and business model.

Later, when asked about his experience Eric said “I put in about 70 hours a week to the business. It means everything to me, and I really think we have something here. It is always rewarding to be recognized for ones dedication.” Eric also added how the competition served as a good networking tool, and he received a lot of positive feedback from those who attended.
